The Betrayal

How do you move on from a betrayal?

I close my eyes and I see her hair draped all over your body,

I see her lips connecting with yours, her eyes looking into yours,

I see her trailing kisses all over your body, her hands holding your face like I have held it time and time again,

My body shutters and my eyes spring open and I fight the tears that are inching to come out,

I exhale and close my eyes again,

My mind is racing, I can't sleep,

I see your body intertwined with hers,

I see your eyes, those eyes I've felt so safe looking into, looking into her eyes,

I see your arms, your arms I've felt so comfortable in, holding her,

I see you kissing every inch of her body,

I see you moving her hair away from her face like you've done with me,

I see your pleasure all over her and hers all over you,

I hear you whispering in her ear like you've whispered in mine, 

Once again my body shutters and my eyes fling open, 

I can't erase these images you both have put in my head,

I can't erase the betrayal,

How can I forgive you and move on?

You say you're sorry but sorry just doesn't seem enough.
