The 'perfect' momentA Chapter by Dreamer MindDespite
the night seemed to be so quiet, Charlie was still awake, and as he was looking
at the beautiful starry sky above him he kept thinking of the ‘perfect moment’
to come, but he had just one day left, which made him even more nervous about
it, “But why am I so scared?, Tanya is the women I love and my best friend” he thought,
he just couldn’t find an explanation. After a few minutes later he finally fell
asleep. A few
hours before sunrise, Charlie woke up and went for a walk around the place, as
Tanya was still sleeping, he was walking and walking without direction when he
found a beautiful little lake which was really hide from the rest of the woods,
it seemed like he was the first person to ever be there, it had no traces of
humans, it was clean, full of ducks, fish, and other little critters,
surrounded by the greenish trees he had ever seen. He couldn’t believe it, his ‘perfect
moment’ will be perfect in such a perfect place, so his face quickly lit up
with a big smile, and as it was almost sunrise time, that would make it even
more perfect. So he ran back to the camping area to get Tanya, “Tanya, wake up
baby” he told her with his sweet voice, she opened her eyes a little bit
confused “What is it Charlie?”, “I want to take you to a place”, “But it still
dark, can’t this wait until the morning?”, “No, I’m afraid it can’t wait, come
on, you’ll love it!”. Again he convinced her so she stood up and put on her
jacket, Charlie took her hand guide her steps, because he had asked her to
close her eyes. “Open your eyes” he told her, when she did so, she was speechless
by the beauty “This is beautiful Charlie”, she told him as she hugged him while
looking at the lake, “And wait to watch the sunrise from here” Charlie said,
then they sat down on the ground as Tanya leaned back on Charlie’s chest, as
they were awaiting for the sunrise Charlie said to her “Look, those little
shiny stars over there!”, “where?” “There to your left” “I can’t see anything Charlie”
Tanya told him as she stood up to look for the stars, then Charlie stood up as
well and as she was looking for the stars, he stood right behind her and put
his arms in front of her face “Do you like this shiny star?” told her as he
show her the ring, Tanya was speechless and so touched by the special moment he
had created for her “Charlie” told him with her shaky voice as she was crying
from excitement, Charlie knelt in front of her “Would you like to be my wife?” “Yes!
I do!” was her answer and as soon as he put the ring on her finger she hugged
him and kiss him like never before, or at least that’s how she felt, Charlie was
feeling somehow relieved of his nervously that was now over, and all he was
thinking at that moment was how happy they were going to be together, while
they were hugging and kissing the sun came out and Charlie’s ‘perfect moment
‘have been just that, without any doubt. The happy
couple headed back to the camping area after a while and were talking about
explore other areas of the place, but they weren’t expecting a thunderstorm, so
it ruined the plans, or at least for Charlie, because Tanya loved to play in
the rain since she was a child, “Come on Charlie!, let’s go!” she was telling
him while trying to pulling him into the rain, “What? You wanna catch a cold?”,
“It’s summer! are you afraid to get wet?” she teased him, but she went to play
in the rain and Charlie loved to watch her dancing and playing in the rain, he
loved seeing her happy, and the rain was one of the things she enjoyed the most,
after watch her for a while, he decided to join her, he carried her on his arms
and were twirling , it was a moment they both wish it would never end. © 2010 Dreamer Mind |
