A Poem by Dreambound

The thought.
I drew you in my mind long before I met you.
A shimmering dream,
A subtle note on the breeze.

I thought about that colour again today,
Midnight Blue,
The colour of something deep and profound, beautifully mysterious and dark.

The face, I could now put to that dream.
A name,
I hear that makes me skip a beat, to nervous and excited at the same time in only the best ways.

Eyes that I look into and see,
The best of myself reflected back,
The spark of something great,
The shine of something real.

A soul that is,
Strange and beautiful,
deep with intrigue and passion, there's the blue in the midnight I see.

Time,
That thing that seems to slip away from us, always wishing for more together, forever chasing it.
With you I am still, yet time it moves, yet midnight is the time it always ticks over.

I always knew I drew you in my mind before I met you, I always thought it was just a silly dream.

But I found you that day you walked into my life,
And it revealed itself to be real.

I found my words when you came along, and I'll always speak them to you.

This is an amazing piece, I really like the style in which you constructed this one! Sad and yet very beautiful.
