Girl to a fairy

Girl to a fairy

A Poem by Bridget Mcmaken

My broken Heart hanging from the dead lonely tree
your'er cold hands wrapped around my heart
I watch as you slowly tear my heart apart
I watch as it slowly bleeds
I watch as it slowly takes it last beat
Trying hard not to let a tear drop falls
I walk away with my head down
I don't want them to see me cry
So I try to hold my head up high
I don't know if I'll ever be alright
The half of the heart I have turned black
Black like the rose that cries
The black rose that cries blood
I'll never get the thought out of my head
I wish I could do it all over again
I'd take my heart out of your hands
I'd never let it happen again
Though you can't turn back time
Everything wont be alright
My half heart falling to pieces
I try to put them together again
But you can't put a puzzle together with missing pieces
I feel like a monster with no soul
So I pop those pills in my mouth and swallow them whole
I lay my head on my pillow
Dreaming a dream I won't wake from
I dream of a beautiful fairy that lives happily
A fair that dreams in peace
She is untouchable
Unbreakable
The beautiful fair I always wanted to be
This is my happy ending
