Achilles
A Poem by
TheRaven
The great contradiction.
A thunderous storm
Roaring with rage and fury,
Yearns for peaceful end.

Excellent haiku! Vivid picture in only a few words. I can both see it and hear it. On question was is why did you name it Achilles?

Only three lines, yet packed with emotion. I connected it to a person being the storm, craving someone or something to provide that peaceful ending. Whether it be someone else or an addiction. Great poem.

This so subtle yet truly remarkable.

Hello TheRaven,
Your short poem reminds me of Ernest Hemingway's untitled short story: "For sale: Baby shoes. Never worn." I believe writing an entire story in as few words as possible is not only challenging but an amazing talent. Well done!
Thank you for sharing!
Kind regards,
Schatzi

This makes me think of my own experiences with storms. Perfectly simple, yet its not. Hope I'm making sense haha

I can relate this with a couple friends I've had. I think, yes, it is a very short poem, but also yes because it has a great meaning to some people who have suffered friendship, divorce, fighting or something changing. If you ever get a chance would you mind reviewing my book? Thanks!

Simple and short. Sometimes few words can tell a whole story. I liked it a lot.
