A Sailor's Verse

A Sailor's Verse

A Poem by TheRaven
"

Sailing to find you.

"
I've sailed the world of troubles,
yet I've never left this place.
What's missing here is not me,
but you, you whom I don't know.
Wonder still, if the day you arrive,
would I be ready? Let us both hope
for I no longer have want of pain;
but love.

I love the yearning in this piece and the questioning, dreaming the longing. I do believe that the moment one stops looking love comes knocking on our door. Due to our wonderfully colorful imaginations and excitement we can often distort our destinies through our expectations. It's a lovely poem the sailor's Verse. Blessings El

I imagine a sailor waiting at port, gazing out over the water for some distant ship to sail into the harbor. Having spent a lifetime at sea, now he's grounded and waits; waits for love. That ship has not yet sailed. A lovely little verse.

to be ready for love...
and to wait for it's arrival.

this is beautifully put.
still wondering if you'll be able to accept it

on this journey of the sea-
simple, beautiful...
and not forbidden- are you ok? ;)

Simple. Yes.

But not in a bad way.

No mistakes, clean writing.

Not a frivolous topic either.

It was a good thing for me to read this.

Merci beaucoup.
