The Darkness

-just read it-

What problems lie waiting in the dark, eternal night?

Swept away your exsistance as if, almost never there.

Shrouded in nothing but DARKNESS no signs of the light.

Would you stand there with out a care or say your final prayer?

 

When its dark do you look for a way out?

Trying to find that guiding light to take you away.

Is there something stalking about?

Oblivious to all, you falter and get led astray

 

The only way out is not in others but in one's self.

One's own demons that stalk them in the DARKNESS,

the bad things that hurt us just cant be put up on a shelf.

they have to be delt with even if they bring nothing but sadness.

 

Life may seem like a nightmarish path , heading straight down to hell.

The ends justify the meens and that self proclamied hell, will be nothing but well.

Darkness has a way of creeping in ourlives. Literally and figuratively. I've had some time to contemplate the dark stuff. WInter storm took out our electric on Tuesday. And the time I susually spent here was punctuated with bursts of blue lightning as transformers all over the countryside blew out under protest. It occurs to me that darkness is as necesary to whole beings as any other miracle we know. How can we know for certain that we've met the light until we've known that darkness?

I loved it. I'll edit for grammar if you like later. The picture does very well with it. I loved the last two lines; they seem to be the most powerful and tie up the poem. Great job!
