Under Evil Feet

Under Evil Feet

A Poem by Cerebriation

Among the masses are the tired eyes
Among the crests, atop the hills
Aligned en masse, to sound their cries
Unto the empty void

Upon the roads are the tired feet
Along the roads in every lane
Maligned, en masse they crowd the streets
On into nothingness

Inside the chests are the tired hearts
Away each fleeting murmur beats
A binding mass of failing parts
Working to their ends

Left to wander are the lonely souls
Around again forevermore
A winding pass of dark and cold
Eternal as the wind

Born for nothing are the innocent
To every town of every name
Behind the glass they came and went
Under evil feet
