A Rare Case of UnderstandingA Poem by CerebriationAP
I’ve found myself wondering
Like I always seem to do Contemplating complex notions But I’m baffled I’m confused What does it take for me What will it take to see To see the human in you What do I gotta do To get from you To get just a little A little bit of understanding A break from this demanding Circus of humanity I’m wavering, stumbling Like I always seem to do Staggering through sideways motions Cause I’m ravaged Overused Ravaged shaken and abused What does it take for us How long before we gain your trust How long before we see Before you reveal Reveal the human in you What do we gotta do To see just a little A little life in those eyes The bleakest truth in those lies In this circus of fools Circus of humanity Again, I find myself wondering Like I always seem to do Contemplating complex notions Always baffled So confused Could I, maybe, catch a glimpse A distant view, a fleeting sight Before we go, may we please see Around this dog and pony show Just one case of understanding A glimmer of humanity © 2016 CerebriationAuthor's Note
