Kind, loving, funny, and sweet

A guy I know you would love to meet

but in fear of what people might think

you walked away and utterly quit

I've watched you do this one too many times

so I will take the leap

the one you could not do

I'll go for that type of guy

and now without a doubt

I've found the one who is mine

now and forever

no matter what you say aloud

I will not falter in my choice

because day by day

he is the one I fall harder for

He will always be here for me

you not so much

so I will not be you

I do not care what people say

I have him forever

And you will just be lonely day by day

I think many of us can identify with this to some degree. It is such a fine line. I think sometimes in our hurt and anger we can spite ourselves more than the other party. Well expressed.

ooh, i feel your spite and criticism as if cut by a knife. this is an effective
poem for scolding the other as if they had no right to ask your intention.
