Seeing the light

Seeing the light

A Poem by *~DreamDeamon~*
"

im not religous in any way as you guys know, but i do beleive in ghosts and evil spirits and seeing a the catholics do exorcisims it just seemed right.. What do you think?

"

Sitting in her dark living room,

She waits,

For she has known something has been watching her,

Following her,

So she is ready,

Ready to fight whatever comes her way.

One problem,

For this she was not prepared,

The ghost of her dead husband,

He has come back to haunt her,

Haunt her for what she has done,

The ravenous murder that she committed that night,

The night so long ago.

He yelled,

He beat,

He threw her around like nothing,

That night,

That cold dark night,

Was the last night she would take it,

With a knife in hand she stabbed that man,

Who knows how many times,

No one cares.

Until now,

For he is back,

Back for his revenge,

He will make her go crazy,

Make her regret,

He is going to get her back and ruin her life for good.

He keeps her in the dark,

No light will turn on,

No door will unlock,

She's stuck in her bedroom now with the memory,

and his ghost.

Screaming does no good,

No one can hear her fear,

He keeps giving her things,

For her to make her own destruction,

He wants her to join him,

In his lonely hell of a world,

For in his mind she deserves the worst.

She stands her ground after a while,

Building up strength,

Waiting for him to tire,

For his ghostly strength will only last a while longer,

He will have to leave to regain his strength,

Once he does she will be lying in wait,

or next time she will be prepared.

A preist to stay at the house,

Holy water in every corner,

Salt across the doors to keep him trapped once he is back,

The bible,

The crosses,

Everywhere

The power of will,

The power of her faith,

He has made her a catholic,

True to this she will now stay,

Soon he will be gone for good,

And she can live once again.

great write on the karamic balance we all feel, that pulls at us every day, that effect for every decision. its just miracelous how you depicted it here. loved it

I like how this illustrates the never-ending cycle we call call karma. The ghost got what he deserved, but she will never be free of that memory.
The highlight of this piece, to me is your language. It's intelligible yet captivating.

I guess the wicked get upset for karma taking care of them, a chilling story that ends with faith and belief.

self defense isnt murder. life without love is harder to live.i think we create much of are own destruction life is fluid its not preordained.if what he did helped her find faith it wasnt in vain we all need faith in something.

nice work on this poem of exorcism

So the spirit of her husband who she murdered has come back for revenge? Makes wonders of the paranormal world and what they still feel now that they are tormented in purgatory. A lost soul cursed to live in abomination.
A priest will not protect her, a cross will never fade away the memories. Only she herself has to face it head on.
Excellent job.
