Lady Justice

Lady Justice

A Poem by *~DreamDeamon~*

Lady justice oh should you be so kind.

yes, you are blind,

           Well... not really, I lie.

Your statues, your pictures all are,

but those who serve as you are not.

            They see colors, skin colors.

if you're anything other than white,

            You're probably screwed.

no one cares if your life is on the line.

they fear your difference.

            They want you put away.

guilty or not your screwed anyway.

I say you should pray, cuz

our lady justice has been corrupted.

             And every non-white will be

scrutinized more than anyone.

Watch your back as her statue crys

for what we have done to her.

She weeps and crys can't you hear her sorrow?

                                    Think about this for awhile!

i think that this poem is long overdue, finally someone has touched upon the subject of our flawed judicial system. the racism, the indifference to the poor and the lack of justice for those who are not the social elite. great job!

This is so true. Every word is so definite and has so much meaning to it. I love it.
