Two Old Hags

Two Old Hags

A Poem by *~DreamDeamon~*
"

"

Two to Three to Four to Five

over the hill she cried.

Her sorrows heard

throughout the land.

Up the streets and

down the river bend,

all heard her mourn,

for what she had lost

a sorrowful tale

not soon forgot.

Brought up every

second of the day,

and never fades away.

Her joy is no more,

her heart is torn,

for she knows not

what to do but mourn away.

For day by day, you

hear her sorrow,

it fills your heartwith dread,

As she cries away you go mad.

Now what to do with these

old hags both gone crazy and mad..

I don't know why, but I find this to be amusing. It has this very light hearted rhythm about the "hags". It definitely gave it a dark comedy feel, which I absolutely love.

I like this poem. It sets the scene of some of the old movies I used to watch with my mom when I was younger; especially the line "old hags both gone crazy and mad"

(chuckling) this is delightful and full of old world imagery, the wording is romantic and classical and the subject matter is profoundly meaningful and touching. bravo!

This is supposed 2 be a little funny & at the end its supposed 2 mean the person who hears the girl cry so much has gone mad just like the girl cry. Which in turn makes the old hags who have gone crazy and mad.. . . thought id clearify
