Even If You SmokedA Poem by DreamCatcher08A little poem I wrote for my beautiful wife.I’d love you, Even if you smoked. A silly thing to promote, I suppose, but I need you to know, I’d jump through the rings that you blow, I’d love you if you smoked. I’ll love you, even when you’re sad, When the good things in the world, are outweighed by the bad, I’ll break my back to sway the balancing act, I’ll love you when you’re sad. I loved you, when we had no idea, We had no plan, we had no fear, but that got us here. We kept on treading a path, unclear, I loved you, we had no idea. I will always love you, no matter where we are, If we’re living out the back of our car, I’m playing guitar in empty bars, and you’re writing poems about moonstruck stars, It won’t matter where we are. I’ll love you, when you have to go, I’ll be okay, although alone, I’ll trust that love will bring you home. Back to my arms, the heart you own, I’ll love you, even if you have to go. © 2019 DreamCatcher08 |
