Sing me to sleepA Poem by DreamCastorI wrote this poem of sorts in the spur of the moment that will pass as soon as fall asleep, it may make no sense to its reviewers. But this way I can keep it for my shattered eyes to reconcile with.
As I lie here, my eyes weary,
I contemplate the unknown. I cannot understand why my mind is running away, I cannot stop its decay. My thoughts cascade across the room, constructing tales of love and sorrow. But this is the time that I live for, No one to judge, no one who cares. Just me, and my ever binding thoughts. The dreamcatcher above my head glowing, Its waiting, hoping that soon I'll shut my eyes. My beautiful dreams will glide, They will create shadows upon the walls. Creating a lulling melody, So that when I wake I'll remember it's song. But only for a little while, Till it fades into a memory that no one can contain.
