What do you do?

What do you do?

A Poem by Daisygirl

What do you do when your story goes down the dark path?

The one you tried to avoid but fell into anyway.

Do you claw your way back up the cliff or sit at the bottom and wait?

Or do you start following the path deeper and deeper into the unknown?

A path full of twists and traps, monsters and fears.

What do you do when you get lost in the darkness and can’t find your way out?

What do you do when the darkness pulls at your hair and scratches your arms with it’s claws?

Bites at your ankles and trips you?

What do you do when your clothes are torn to shreds and your mind is falling to bits?

Do you run now or do you fight?

Fight for your future or run for your life.

Thanks so much!
I really like the last line of the poem. I like the irony in the line... good work :)
