Living Without Being Alive

Living Without Being Alive

A Poem by Gio J. C.

These gifts that we received at birth
To humans here on mother earth
Our precious gifts are always here
To us they’re nothing really clear

People without one bright gift
Feel in them a certain rift
Depending on the gift they missed
They’ll walk that thick gray layer of mist

A man with no gift of sight
Knows all colors left to right
A man that sees the day and night
Will never know the gift of sight

A woman that can not hear
Can hear our cries more than clear
A woman that always listens
Can not hear her true intensions

A man with no gift of words
Sings hymns heard in other worlds
A man that always talks and wrongs
Will never stop to hear the song
