The IllusionA Poem by Gio J. C.Conflicting thoughts on love and the desire to be with someone...
The illusion that I want her
It's only an illusion The truth, incomprehensible Yet it works it's way through, Cracks of insanity. Among others she stands out, Looks and beauty, Smiles and laughter. Perfected beauty, Imaginary Formulation of love, An unfolding recipe. A hunger for sweet desire. The yearning grows, For satisfaction But the illusion of love, That ecstasy for pain, Nothing more, nothing less, A simple process, Our blind creation I want her, but I don't. I see her image in my mind, Unconsciously Unwilling, yet willing I burn her picture there. Emotions created Where impulses dwell. Every memory, feeling, Primal instinct Invoked I don't want her, The thought of her, How I feel around her, Frantic, romantic, Breathless and afraid. It doesn't matter. In this dark novella, The more I want her, The more likely that I will not have her. After she is gone I will want her for sure. But only after, She has left my sight, A distant beauty © 2013 Gio J.
