Unaware

Unaware

A Poem by Zac
"

How unaware the certain character is

"

Unaware,

Never knowing what’s behind the next corner.

Unaware,

That the world has been forgotten,

Unaware,

Why things happen the way they do.

Unaware,

Of all the hidden dangers in this world,

Unaware,

Of the past which we all had,

Unaware,

Of the beings that hate him.

Unaware,

Of the places people go and why they go there.

Unaware,

Of the plots and deceit others plan.

Unaware,

That he might not live another day

Unaware,

Of the place he will go,

Unaware,

That he is in danger

I'm always a fan of a poem that includes repetition to increase the power of a word or phrase! That being said, on the whole this poem is far from as powerful as it could be. The main issue here is that you've relied on too many cliched phrases and haven't explored the language and imagery enough to make your own ideas. Stretch your wings and go for it! Make the idea of impending doom your own.

I love this! The format is really cool and I like the way you ended it. Really well penned here!
