The secret of the Blindman.

The secret of the Blindman.

A Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore
"

A blindman begs on the street.

"

The secret of the Blindman.

A blind beggar

begged on the road.

The crows and the peacocks

and the dogs on the street

had great pity on him.

The intelligent humans

passed by without emotion.

Love with all its complexities,

is a shared human emotion.

Challenge your perceptions

of love, enjoy the beauty

of the expressions of love.

Offer a moment of pause.

Express your feelings.

Kill your pride and selfishness.

Let your words inspire comfort.

Let love resonate in you.

Even when the world around

Changes, let love remain

Your perennial focus.

Wow! This is a very poignant, intense poem on man's inhumanity to man, dear poet. It tugs at this reader's heartstrings until tears threaten to overflow. I love how you portray the little animals as having unconditional love and empathy for the poor blind man while fellow human beings pass him by without a glance or a second thought.
I love how you challenge your reader to change their inhuman ways, to feel, show and express love so that the world may change and become a better place and even if it doesn't change the whole world it may change the world for those we meet so the world becomes a better place for them to live in. I love how you exhort your reader to show unconditional love to all they come into contact with, to help those who need help and to be a friend to all.
You are a very sensitive, compassionate writer and this poem is finely structured. It enriches the life of the reader and makes them more aware of life around them which needs their attention. So inspiring! Powerful write! The world needs more poetry like this. Thank you for sharing, dear poet.
