Another Depressed NightA Story by Dramatic
Enough time has passed for my eyes to make adjustments as I can now see what doesn't exist during the day. My room illuminates by moonlight, she lends me her aid. I lay in my bed waiting, the covers over my head can no longer protect me... that time has passed. I turn over in my bed, as I lie staring at the closet door it opens itself, the normally groaning hinges were silent. I peered into it and saw nothingness, and I knew that this darkness unnatural to any on this earth hid a solemn truth. All the air sucked into it and was replaced with the smell of blood. I saw blackened claws reach through the void and tear into the carpet, dragging the slimed, deformed mockery of the largest reptile. My heart was thundering and each beat was a call to it, its tongue flickering through teeth like shattered glass, bile sputtering from its maw as it shambles closer to me. I crawl out of bed falling like a corpse to the floor. It gets close enough that I can see into its eyes and through those obsidian orbs I only see nightmares. I know what it wants, what it craves is to fasten its claws into my skin, so that I'll never be able to severe our connection again.
