My Darkest SireA Poem by Drama ChildMy Darkest Sire
I’ll paint the scenario, etch it to memory Of the spooky, ill-faced mask before me. He boasted wicked
with his tongue, sang in all canary cages. Cast over me carnival
of spiders, his master prank in all it's stages. I clutch
tight my swollen heart, with mind on borrowed battery Speak as lioness, tout as jaguar, but lies lurk beneath the flattery. Tales of woe, my darkest sire, it was nothing, so it seems. Take the walk, it’s all talk, his love was only dreams. © 2016 Drama ChildAuthor's Note
