GhostsA Poem by Drama ChildDrama, Fear, Horror, ChildhoodGhosts
The window is rattling, the night is dark. The floors creak, The moonlight leaves marks- Across the walls, Like writings from ghosts. Footsteps in the distance, But they don’t seem close. The mind is painting, it’s creating a scene. Is it real? Is it fake? Is it all just a dream?
Now listen more closely Be prepared. The footsteps get louder, Now moving up the stairs.
SHATTERING! CRASHING! ALMOST AT THE DOOR!
Your breathe sounds like screaming, As it moves across the floor. The knob shakes-like-a-whisper, Revealing a shadow out there. Skin frightens, Full of bumps, And the standing of hair.
The covers go flying, The protectors of the bed! Eyes close shut! Curl right up! Just pretend that you’re dead!
