Delayed Quest

Delayed Quest

A Poem by Drake47

Recognition is a blessing for who’s unsure on why he has to wear a shoe
It’s for those who still believes in dreams and that the ocean is blue
For someone’s incapables to see you not worthless doesn’t mean you are
It’s like a kid trying to impress his friends by smoking a cigar

Truth be told, I’m a victim myself
But I don’t sulk and hang myself on the shelf
There’s a lot of unseen items and experiences I need to encounter
So before we part, remind me to set a reminder

Life always gives us hope but we determine if it’s gonna be helpful or false
No one knows how today might end but we have the capabilities to make sure it doesn’t become a loss
Desperate times calls for desperate measures we say
We look for excuses and someone to blame because that’s how we play

We live and lie and the weak doesn’t survive
Escaping the truth but celebrating being alive
What’s the point of living if you afraid to live
We let our dreams decide our destiny and we forget about our believe
