It took everything from me

So far yet so very near
I waited for a while until it was clear
My happiness is visible like a water jar
Consumed with desire like a chocolate bar

I'm bound to seek inner peace
Even if it means travelling to the seven seas
I'm like a door with a bunch of keys
But only one can open me

Exposed to the world with no shame
To some of them, this is just a game
I'm like a cop without a case
Or like a thief, gone without a trace
