Story of My Life

I'm trying to make this seem like the blurb on the back of or on the inside cover flap of a book.

This is a different kind of fairy tale.  The prince isn't the princess's true love anymore.  The princess has to save herself to survive.  There's no adventure, no mortal danger, no monsters scarier than an unknown future.  The tower that the princess is locked in is of her own making.

What is love?

Why do we need the company of another to survive?

What's the point of a fairy tale if the prince and the princess aren't together anymore?

Not even the princess knows if this fairy tale has a happy ending yet.

Author's Note

Okay, I admit it: this is pretty lame. But it was bouncing around in my mind for the past two hours, and this is how it came out.
