Hi.

Wait.

 

I didn’t mean to say that.

You’re not supposed to know.

 

Not that I don’t like you.

I do.

I love you more than anything in the world.

 

But that’s a little too much information.

Especially since we’re only friends,

Classmates, teammates…

Acquaintances?

 

What are we?

Does it matter?

I know what I wish we were.

 

But that would never happen.

Especially the way I started out

This conversation.

 

Um… right.

 

I think I should probably go now.

And never show my face in public again.

I know this is kind of an odd set up for a poem -no real rhythm or rhyme or anything. But this is what I was thinking and how it came out on paper. I'm not sure if I like it, but I think it's different, which makes me not hate it.
