My Thoughts At Half Past MidnightA Poem by Drakana WindI'm still awake Working on projects I should have finished Several days ago.
The glow of my computer Cuts through the darkness Just enough so I can see The papers in front of me.
My concentration wanes, As evident by my poetry; It's half past midnight, And all I can think of is you.
You're probably asleep now, Or at least you should be. So should I, for that matter, And dreaming of you.
I can't help but wonder If you are dreaming of me. Or are you lying awake? If you are -are you thinking of me?
I wish I could tell you All that I feel, all that I hold Deep in my heart, My heart that is yours.
You are my sun in the clouds. You give me light, happiness Amidst the inconsistant fogginess That settles and lifts in my world.
Without my shyness I'd tell you everything, Release all my boundaries And let you into my world.
Do you think of me at all The way that I think of you? I wish I knew, I wish so much; Some day, I hope, I will know. © 2009 Drakana WindAuthor's Note
