Fairytale of My Reverie

Fairytale of My Reverie

A Poem by Drakana Wind
"

First NaPoWriMo

"

Within these walls of monotony,

These claustrophobic halls of reality,

I am imprisoned in a tower of certainty,

Chained and shackled by conformity,

And guarded by a dragon of insipidy.

I've been cursed by a witch with much cruelty,

Who has driven me into insanity

By surrounding me with unceasing idiocy,

Phantoms I battle in my irascibility,

Until no longer can I stand the false absurdity.

Let my Prince Charming come in all his probity;

May my knight in armor of luminosity

Save me from these horrors of indecency,

And let me ride on his steed of temerity,

Til I'm free of the constraints of hesitancy.

Drakana Wind
Ugh.. I feel like I forced the words. They look so unnatural.

I got the general idea, I also like that the reader has to participate in drawing out the meaning. Barb

I like it.
Some parts did seem forced but overall I thought it was a good read.
