Do I Dare To Dream?

Do I Dare To Dream?

A Poem by Drakana Wind
"

Simple, yes, but I think it conveys the point I want.

"

Do I dare to dream?

Yet when I hear your name,

Or see your face,

I cannot help but think

Of you,

And wonder if you dare to think

Of me.

Author's Note

Drakana Wind
I wrote this right after an in-class essay-test in English, so that explains the brevity, but somehow, it's my favorite poem that I've ever written.

I like the idea you are creating. Being lovelorn is great material for poets :~) However, I thought you could have said more. It's a beautiful start but it would be even more amazing if it were longer. Good job nonetheless.

i like it i think its the shortest poem you've ever written. I think its short, sweet and to te point. NOt overbearing or anything. I love it.

I love it actually. I mean, it seems I've read something like it before, but that's the risk you take when writing simplistically. Others will see other writing in your own. But very well done indeed. Especially for the time you wrote it in.

I find it to be a bit too simple.

This could be a strong poem, but it's lacking immensely in detail.
