Sin

Sin

A Poem by Collette Paige

I want to be myself

Not another book on a shelf

No one sees me in that light

But I will make that idea take flight

I am not another stupid fan girl

It couldn't hurt, so I'll give it a whirl

I know it might be difficult

But it will make me an adult

It will give me something to believe in

Tell myself that I'm not some sort of sin

the fight for individuality may lead to sin - interesting point - is it worth breaking boundaries to establish some sense of self - or abide by rules - be it law or religion to sink into the background hmm - "not another book on a shelf" - nice!
