Entwine

Entwine

A Poem by The Ugly Rose

I connect these swirls

The audacious twirls

Up and down, around and around

As hard as I try, no end can be found

Such an impossible feat

That even the gods admit defeat

There is no solution

We can't come to a conclusion

As the swirls entwine

The children begin to whine

The ground crumbles to dust

Water evaporates to a hard crust

we are the cause, the death

We took the Earth's last breath

The swirls were our doing

The destruction, our lives going

Gone...
