Damsel in distress

Damsel in distress

A Poem by The Ugly Rose

Oh dear romeo

That sweet bliss you give

The rush of energy

And the burst of ecstasy

For the reasons you may leave

I bid you farewell

But not without my tears

For I shall mourn your passing

Oh dear romeo

How you entice me so

As the time comes I need you most

You cower in the underbrush

How timid you are

It sears my heart

To be without your sweet carress

Lacking your mystical eyes

Missing the warmth of your touch

Oh how I'd miss you so

I'd die without you

I dream that one day

We shall be joyous

For now, you run without me

Leave me not, for I shall perish
