The Mighty OakA Poem by The Ugly RosePhysics Class (Febuary 5th)A night sky Bleeds the sweet honey of rain The drops plunge from the stars To crash into the sturdy branches Of the Mighty Oak.
A flash of electricity Jumps across the image Dangerously close To the Mighty Oak.
A rebellious stream Of lightning and fire Plunges itself deep into The very burrows of The Mighty Oak.
A flame alights Licking the tree itself Engulfing it in raging Uncontrollable Heat.
An so the Mighty Oak Exploes with a thunderous noise Only now, the Oak Is me. The lightning Is life. © 2009 The Ugly Rose |
