Dear AdorationA Poem by The Ugly RosePhysics Class (February 5th)Dear Love, I saw you that day Sitting on the stairs I saw the fleeting hope Hidden in your eyes I saw the courage it took To sit there each day And be you Instead of them
Dear Love, You showed up at the theatre With only your sister I knew it was no coincidence Since I'd told you of it before We sat together Ignoring the film Instead we felt The radiating love to be From the other's body.
Dear Friend, When I was lost You held the torch To light the ever obvious path You took my hand And pulled me home You kept me close Even when I pushed away.
Dear Friend, When all my hope was gone And I had once again Been thrown into doubt You kept pushing your way Right back to me You kept yourself in my eyes So I could see the truth When I pushed so hard against you You still kept holding me tight.
Dear Guardian, When I was kicked down You kicked them back So they fell hard I was picked back up agian By your great care.
Dear Love, It's plain to see Even though I am young Foolish, Doubtful, Rebellious.. You stay by me. For that You've earned the title Of my Dear sweet Love. © 2009 The Ugly Rose |
