History

A Poem by The Ugly Rose
"

I wrote this in the 8th grade, when I was in science class. The last bit was worn away because the paper was so torn up, so it's incomplete, but I want to leave it that way.

"

A comment here and there

Will float forever in the air

A history written through the ages

Will fall away like rice paper pages

A battle lived, and buried underground

Holds the memories of the people without a sound.

Stories lose their true meanings

Then become myths that are never singing

Beliefs of lost civilisations remain

But only in the minds of those deemed insane.

For a civilisation that we have built

Our minds are as clear as silt

We believe what we wish to

So that mistakes will forever re-do.

For a people that are so intelligent

We do not know what was meant

i love it! You are a great writer, looking deeper than the usual poems I've come across... And I like that you kept the poem incomplete. It adds a sentimental, artistic touch. :3
