Chapter I

A Chapter by Looki

A young woman in her twenties walked down the dock, a cigarette in her mouth as she tried to keep herself in the night shade which made her hair and clothes invisible to the sailors who watched the dock as if it being the last time seeing the land in their life. This lady was now directed to the ship "Quiet Siren" that is conveniently owned by her brother, a skeleton loving sailor who dropped out of school just to continue his sailing adventures. Now, since we have took a wild description towards this lady, how about we uncover her name? Her name is Aroaha Aroekote, she is as her name suggests, from some part of India and 'was rather lucky enough to meet someone to take her out of the miserable country', as she says, she was a student at the University of Geographical Wonders and a huge narcissist. After snooping around the docks, Aroaha decided that wandering around searching for the 'Quiet Siren' is going to be a total fail if she doesn't ask somebody. Looking into the 'pub boats' that just sat there on the dock and never moved, she was rather annoyed by the dozens of drunken sailors that sung their songs and talked about the journeys that they were actually never on. After hesitating for a bit, Aroaha slowly stepped into the pub boat named ' The Wyvern' that from the outside, had a rather weird coloration, mixed greens and pink colors that just made one's eyes hurt. When Aroaha stepped it, the time seemed to stop and soon a bunch of drunken, or past-drunken sailors were looking at here as she was a ghost, honestly, entering the pub boat was a mistake, and she knew it. Her dark green blouse and the jeans she was wearing along with her black hair and green eyes seemed to just jump off the white walls, the only thing making her somehow blend in with the wall was the white bowtie she had around her neck for no reason whatsoever. After standing there for a moment she walked over to the bar, leaning and resting her hand on the surprisingly clean counter, "Alright now, bartender. Have you by any chance heard any news about the 'Quiet Siren' that is owned by brother?" she asked, glaring at the bartender who was until that moment staring at her with a weird smile on his face, "Last time I heard of the Quiet Siren was two weeks ago, it was apparently going to Europe for a meeting, I'm positive it is coming back today, around 8." the bartender replied. Aroaha looked up at the clock hanging above the bar, seeing it just pass 7:30 as she sighed, "Might as well stay here, not really a drinker, but can I get a beer please?" she said and took a drag out of her cigarette, that was surprisingly still usable, "Also no drugs or this lit cigarette is going up your a*s." she said, raising her voice a little so the whole pub can hear, the bartender shot a glare towards her, before putting the glass almost overflowing with the beer, "Here, sweetie." he said as Aroaha looked at him, wanting to burst out laughing, but keeping it in, "Knock it off, I'm pretty sure I told everyone, but you ain't getting into my pants, don't even try to you a*****e. The only person I like is myself." she said, again raising her voice for the whole pub to hear as she took a sip of her beer, throwing the butt of her now done cigarette down at the floor as the whole pub bursted into laughter after her last comment. Aroaha was soon done with the beer as she stood up at last, "I fear that I must go, I will come back here when I'm done with my job." she said, taking her leave out of the pub, not listening to a single word said by the bartender. When Aroaha got out of the pub boat, she was blasted with rather cold air, she sighed and lit an another cigarette, seeing lights in the distance as she walked down to the empty space that wasn't exactly labeled for a ship, but she noticed the ship going there, not exactly 'the ship', that ship was 'Quiet Siren', she could notice by the dark coloration and the statue of a mermaid that was seen through the glass panes of the ship. Time passed, soon the ship was parked at the place she predicted as the lights went out, only a pair lighting the door on the back of the ship, she took a deep breath before nearing the massive ship and standing before the door, she knocked at the door lightly before opening the door and almost falling on her face, yep, still no stairs on the Quiet Siren. Aroaha looked in front of her, seeing the person she was going to visit in the first place, her brother. He sat across the room, holding the skull of his skeleton 'sweetie', not really that Aroaha knew why her brother called the skeleton 'sweetie' but she just dismissed it, they both had some s**t in their childhood so she couldn't blame him. Her brother didn't really notice Aroaha at the time, his head down, his dark green eyes, same as his sister's focusing on cleaning the skull as if the skull was a child. He was rather same as his sister, he had black hair, that instead of being long though, was just a mess, his shirt that depicted skeletons, only thing he truly loved, was dirty and worn out, like his sister, he wore jeans but the only thing that really did a difference from his sister was the obsession with skeletons as mentioned, and the little ribcage locket that really showed that obsession. What was his name, you ask? His name was Aroiwi, and he was one hell of a sailor. Aroaha stood at the door for some time, before jumping down, alerting her brother who slightly jumped and then looked at his sister with no real emotion in his face, "And what do you need this time? To go on an adventure for the 666th Meridian?" he said, with a little glare at his sister, " Well, you could say that-" she started before taking a seat away from her brother, " Two of our university's sailors have gone missing after the discovery, you must get on the sea and save them find out about this new meridian and get back unharmed." she explained to the other who just sighed in annoyance, "Will I have a crew?" he asked, to which his sister just nodded, "Well I guess I'll go, I don't have a choice." he muttered as Aroaha stood up, "Alright, we count on you Aroiwi" she said and walked to the exit to the ship, "Also, don't bring me anyone bratty for the crew" Aroiwi said, looking at Aroaha with hope in his eyes, "I will make sure you get the most quality men, don't worry-" Aroaha replied with a smile plastered on her face, "But I make no promises" she added, soon disappearing out of the ship.
