The Faux Alliance

The Faux Alliance

A Poem by DrSprinkz73

Honey, has anyone ever really took the time to love you?

All those girls movin' back and forth so easily subdued

Flickin' them false claims of Amour with perfect precision

In the outer world, philosophy sings for the external vision

Baby, does anyone take the time to care?

After all what's better than a candid "love" affair

They don't wonder about how you feel

The soul stealers just want to feel

Though the takers say you're using them

They're using you.

Tell them the generic words with no meaning

Robotically mutter all those bittersweet nothings

You whisper behind a shield that hides the facade

Masquerading like all the assemblies of God

It's really nothing more and you can't see

Maybe it's all for your vengeful beauty...

Oh yes, their evil lures.

Now let me release you of your pants a moment

I want to feel what they're fighting for.
