Thought Cruisin'

Thought Cruisin'

A Poem by DrSprinkz73

Wrapped in black sheets looking so pristine

That way mascara stains on pillow cases remain unseen

Gravity hugs my body to the mattress

Laying awake in the frost My skin's prickly cactus

As I throw my tears at the fabric

The only hero I can ever see is right across the room

In a mirror watching me

In order to be saved I must feed her,

Mind of love and endurance elixir

There's a sunrise somewhere I'm sure

I just have to overcome adapt and endure
