An Electric Chair Awaits

An Electric Chair Awaits

A Poem by DrSprinkz73

I found myself locked in loves jail
She softly whispers why..
as I hug her one last time
We say our bittersweet goodbyes
Holding back the tears we'd cry
I'm not a heartless man
But I've gone long as i can

Our road has ended here
Im goin' to a brighter place
Where She..
Can't reach me
Can't hurt me
Just teach me
Cause now I know
What love should be

Ours was all that it could be
softly murdered in the night
As our bodies turn to one
I've heard of stories like mine
Where I die in the end
but I shall love again
No longer more a Coward
If anything, Empowered
and Lord I will feel it soon
I remember well, her
Supposed Declarations of Love
I'd softly whisper why..
I remember all the times
She'd say her bittersweet goodbyes
I'd cry
She disappeared into the night
but I know where she will go
Theres no Mystery
In this Wretched Misery
see I'm not a heartless man
but I've gone long as I can
Our road has ended here Darlin'
I'll be in a brighter place
Where true love
Can Reach me
Hold me
and Only Me

As I walk away she's crying
Slowly Surely dying
but I won't hold her anymore
Through the bars I cannot reach
and place her hand in mine
She's locked in Loves Jail
Ive thrown away The Key
If Pain is not what Love should be
She only Lusted me
