A Poem by Dr Poet

When empires were falling down on the road

inside was crumbling down all the world,

deep in the stone cold hearts of those

staring frozen by fiery clouds

dumbed by the uselessness of words

reeling numb through the city roar.

And the frightening sun pulsing insensible,

and the incredible town marching incredulous.

The numberless caught by the unflappable terror

of witnessing history uncoiling in spirals

and hellish eruptions of sickening powder.

A bellowing tidal wave announces

the upcoming age of divine pornography,

blasphemy sold as purifying redemption

in the name of a creed that ignores comprehension.

And the souls in a motion can not help standing still,

and the bodies in fear spin like balls in a wheel.

Wrapped in the timeless present of eternity

darkness and light seem no longer dividable,

filtered through forebodings of colourless tyrants

merged in the flooding of the funereal island.

And the scream of the fog in the eye of the dead,

and the sins of us all crystallized in the blank.

This piece, your words made my heart cry..
such savagery bestowed upon innocents was a horror ..
the day will foever be etched in the minds of all free people.
I thank you for this eloquent, yet brutal poem.

I like the extremeness and boldness of this poem. I liked the effect of each line (or at least to me) giving the effect of a boulder marked with some sort of downfall of society.

Wow to be taken back in history by this piece evokes so many emotions that I wish I was writing back then. Was this piece written back then? If not to still be able translate that horrible event years later is a testment to your soul and your creativity. Great write.

empires falling down on the road,
history uncoiling,
selling blasphemy,
sins crystallized.
They're all brilliant ideas,
they seem a little compacted in this poem.
It's an amazing write though.
