Untitled IIIA Poem by Blake McDuffieWaking from the nightmares That I call life I stumble for the words To convey to you Exactly what it is That the darkness does to me Asphyxiation Am I underground? Is this a black hole That I have been sucked into? I only wish I could see The light of life Or something higher still I'm not asking for proof I just want to believe But I find it hard When I see so much suffering Outside and within myself? I hope one day The answer will come to me Before the end comes for me © 2008 Blake McDuffie |
