Untitled II

Untitled II

A Poem by Blake McDuffie

My body is cold

My lungs are on fire

I can no longer hear the screams from above

I looked down and the abyss

Was staring back at me

No more struggling

I have accepted my fate

However I confess

I think it’s a shame

You’ll never know how the ocean burns

Wow, that was really good. It makes me never want to go into water for fear of drowning. But all together, flows well, and I like how it never really states that its about drowning. It makes me read between the lines. I loved it.
