Here with you

Here with you

A Poem by Dr.Acula

I sit here with you

In the warm imbrace of your arms

Enduring the everlasting memories of long forgetten pain

My heart cringes as the still sore wounds are pocked and proded

Tormented by the memories of a lost and unwanted truth

It cries out in pain as the hurt turns to rage and it's strength is pu tot the test

But alas this time it has changed

The attacks are fruitless and feeble falling upon deaf ears

My mind has no more controll of my torn and wounded heart

For you see my heart is no longer stored in the recesses of my body

But in the hands of another who tends for it daily

Her touch so gentle as she closes the gaping wounds

Slowly putting the pieces back together as not to miss one sliver

And so these memories have no effect

The bonbardment of my past has not a target to hit

So i sit and laugh at this futile assault

Knowing my life and my heart are safer than ever before
