Angles of Color

Angles of Color

A Poem by D. P. Sumner

I'll be me
and you be you,
but chances are
we can't be two;

For I see
what you're blind to -
and chances are
I'm blind to you.

Few can see
the skies of blue,
in shades of black
the way I do.

And few know
how gray the hue
a sunrise shines
with darkened view.

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I think this brief effort tells us how someone with depression views the world. This grim disease makes even blue skies seem black and sunrises devoid of color. The poem is both subtle and nicely rhymed. Well done.
