My Machine is Broken

My Machine is Broken

A Poem by Lune
"

Anything and everything could go wrong within a machine, and us humans aren't so different. We are all just advanced machines.

"
There is something not quite right inside my head.
My machine is broken,
A cog isn’t turning
A spring isn’t bouncing.

I am repeating, I am repeating.
I am stuck inside a rut,
A socket is rusted
A motor is busted.

I am in need of a new part.
I am missing all the bells and whistles,
A ticker isn’t clicking
A timer isn’t ticking.

Something is oh so wrong inside of me.
There is a loose piece in my mind,
A battery is running low
A circuit is about to blow.

I cannot move.
Something is not correct,
A wheel needs oil
A metal is set to boil.

My world is filled with error.
What am I doing wrong?
A wire is bent
A boiler without a vent.

I seem to be malfunctioning.
Everything does not compute,
A bulb has shattered
A connection is tattered.

All communications lost.
