TidesA Poem by DutchThis poem is about the endless cycle of love live happiness and misery.TIDE
As time advances, Tithes exchange the tides erupt till seasons end. In jest I’d never say your name but beckon you my dearest friend. Till summers end and discontent of winters bitter sting I feel I do oblige and recognize the heart of loves alkalies heal.
It is and will forever be a mystery to you and I That when the gods do gaze on me they do so now with envious eyes. The vapor of a our lives remains the source of pain and souls delight. So why does he, insist and plead for misery of reckless nights?
As habits form, compulsion sets, to break the cycle is my goal. For in my soul I know to well that love can fill this empty whole. Dependency, necessity, does balance all the warmth I feel But shall not rob me of this love, for nothing can un- forge my steel
The tide subsides, the ocean swells, a silence sets in air so thick. I cannot hide the fear I felt before the calm was torn to bits. Now is the time to stand there strong just like the weeping willow tree. For nothing will undo the bond and trust that she has put in me. © 2017 DutchReviews
