I made you some wings from strings

I made you some wings from strings

A Poem by Symphonic_Sunflowers
"

My good friend challenged me to write a poem in ten minutes with the prompt being "embroidered wings"

"
You told me you wish you could fly, and stepped closer toward the edge and I embroided you some wings with my tears; begging you to at least have a safe flight.

Take my hand, we'll walk down these stairs and we can practice on these swings and as I make you sturdier wings, I will push you as high as you would like, I will send you to share a kiss with the Moon and the stars and what-ever-else you believe in.

Please!
Take your time as you come down;
You climbed your glass pipe so high, maybe too high this time.
There's no flight when you leap from up here, you'll only splatt on the concrete and there's no gentleness in that goodnights kiss.
