Copier Machine

Copier Machine

A Chapter by Danielle
"

The main characters of the story here have been taken out of their world, and put into ours. They all now work at a high school. Adrian works in the main office, and this is one of his more exciting days.

"

Adrian sighed as he again heard the giggles of the girls as they walked passed his office.  His desk was situated right next to the copier machine, and working in a high school that wasn’t the best place.  He heard all the latest gossip while he typed away on his computer, but everybody always started trying to talk to him.  The nuisance made getting away with surfing the internet difficult.  Although, anymore, he pretty much knew most teachers and some seniors in the school. At least the kiss ups.

The high school girls glanced his way as they walked out, giggling again.  Adrian had always been an eye catcher, with his flaming red hair and similarly red brown eyes.  Usually, if he was able to wear the right colors, he could get his eyes to look more brown then red, but with his hair it was difficult.  Leaning on his elbows, he looked back to the computer.  He was supposed to be typing up some disciplinary form or something like that.  He really should have paid more attention when Mr. Tyren had stomped over.  Adrian, out of habit, tuned out people who yelled.

He leaned back in his chair and yawned.  The attendance lady, Ms. Aurels had left her desk, wandering off probably to find somebody to mooch food off of.  Adrian used the opportunity to pull out his phone and check for any messages.  Surprisingly, he had one from Rayland, one of the security guards on campus.  They had shared numbers, but Adrian hadn’t really expected too much to come from it.  Glancing around, he didn’t want to have to block out another yelling, he opened the phone and read the message.

Dude Klimat is going to make copies!

Adrian smirked, checking the time and closing the phone.  Mr. Tim Klimat was known around school for having his head shoved up his butt, or a stick.  Depends on who you asked.  Running a hand through his hair, Adrian did another skim to see who was around.  It was easy to tell what it was Rayland wanted, but Adrian wanted to keep his job until he found something better.  Seeing nobody, except Mr. Klimat himself strutting towards the office, Adrian quickly stood and ran to the copy machine in one motion, his chair hitting the desk opposite to Adrian’s.

Adrian quickly pushed buttons, grinning like a mad man as he did so.  It wasn’t often he had something fun to do at work.  The door to the office opened, and Adrian finished with the buttons.  He then took the five steps to the mailbox and skimmed over to his.  Mr. Klimat walked into the little room as Adrian grabbed a flier put there by some kids who had walked in about an hour before.  Adrian hadn’t felt like getting up.  Nodding to Mr. Klimat, Adrian found his chair and pulled up the disciplinary form.  Mr. Klimat was a gym teacher, and wasn’t known for his technical skill, though as an egotistical man he tried to play it off.

Adrian pulled out his phone, quickly texting Rayland back.  Reduce 200%, extra dark, 17 inch paper, 98 copies. He then put his phone back in his pocket, skimming over the form to see what it was he had to do, snickering when Mr. Klimat spat a string of curses.  Adrian had to give the man credit; he never used the same words twice.  Adrian reached for a post-it-pad, thinking he might need to write some of the more original ones down.

Danielle
Klimat used to be the name for the main antagonist for the story, if that helps explain it at all.
