Eternal Darkness

Eternal Darkness

A Poem by Mythar

Crushing, never ending, eternal
Many words to describe it, yet none are spoken
Shame, fear, hatred
Words to describe me, yet none are spoken
Permanent, devastating, tragic
Words to describe an act, yet none are spoken
Eternal darkness crushing my hopes, my dreams
No help is sought, for fear of seeming foolish, seeming overly dramatic
Feelings of hollowness, feelings of sadness, feelings of hate
No joy to be had in the moment, and no hope for joy to be had in the future
Feeling there is no future to look forward to, only more suffering
Feeling that this is my fault
Feeling that if I was smarter, more social, simply better, that this wouldn't be happening
A plan to bring an end to the darkness
Permanent, devastating, tragic, releasing
Words to describe a plan, yet none are spoken
A plan, an act, an end
No light shines
The darkness I feel does not go away, it simply leaves me, and goes to those I loved, those who loved me
Before I had no hope for the future, now I simply have no future.
